A young NBA boy, Kentrell deShaun Gaulden is also known by many other names such as Youngboy Never Broke Away and YoungBoyneverbrokeagain. He has been the center of a controversial situation that took place in January of this year. In April, a woman filed a police report stating that Gaulden sexually abused her during a time when he was staying with her family at their home in California. Kentrell never broke any laws, and a warrant was not issued for his arrest, but a lot of media attention was caused when the police were called to the scene. His name was taken off the team, his career was put on hold indefinitely, and he lost the chance of playing in the NBA this season.
There was no denying the fact that Kentrell was being accused. Many people did wonder whether or not the allegations would actually hold up. Youngboy never broke any laws, but the police were called because the victim was willing to come forward to police. This was a big deal to the police, because if she had not done this the whole story could have remained buried. The entire incident caused a huge amount of media attention, and it was clear that fans of the game were very upset with the situation.
However, there was not enough proof to prove that Youngboy had committed a crime, and his name was taken off of the team. Fans had been calling for him to be traded since his name was removed from the team. Some of these fans claimed that he had abused their child, even though no criminal charges had ever been filed. It was a horrible case, but it is not the first time that someone's name has been taken off the team. Teams were always concerned about lawsuits, which led to them giving their own players' numbers.
If it were up to me, I would have allowed Youngboy to stay on the team because there was no evidence against him. It is true that he might have made some bad decisions while in college, but there is no reason that he would not be able to play in the NBA. If a team wants to keep a player for whatever reason, then they will find a way to make it happen. Youngboy never really did anything wrong, but people want to see him fail for whatever reason.
I can understand why people are upset, but I don't think it would have been a good thing to take away a player's chance to play in the NBA. If you're willing to risk your health for your dream, you should do whatever you have to make it happen. If you're willing to sacrifice for your dream, then there are no rules that say you have to give up what you love.
The YoungNBAboy NeverBrokenAgain is a great example of someone who sacrificed so much for his dream, and for a great cause. People often complain about the lack of star talent in the NBA, but you don't need to be one to succeed in the NBA. There are some great athletes out there that have never made a mistake, so you shouldn't give up on your dreams if you have to.
