Halo Infinite is a new first-person shooter video game developed by Halo Industries and released by Microsoft Xbox Game Studios for all platforms (Xbox 360, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii, and Nintendo DS) and Windows. The fifth major entry in the popular Halo series, it promises to introduce some new aspects to the Halo franchise and introduce some of its more challenging scenarios as well. I've reviewed several games for this series, so I feel comfortable writing about it.
If you're looking forward to playing the game, then read this before you buy it. I'm going to tell you a lot about the game. The game will include a single player campaign, co-op multiplayer, and multiplayer co-op missions. All of them include a wide variety of levels and are very entertaining to play.
The story follows the story of Master Chief, a SPARTAN-III supersoldier who has recently received orders from his superior, Colonel James Ackerson. He's also sent to investigate mysterious slipspace anomalies, or slippage rifts. When the Covenant assault Earth, they use these slipspace rifts to attack New Mombasa. While there, he meets Blue Team, also SPARTAN-III soldiers that have been sent to stop the Covenant at any cost. They will eventually become part of a team with Master Chief and each other in the game, as they travel through space to stop the Covenant from getting back to their main battle station, the Ark.
What makes this game unique compared to other first person shooters is that it is set on a virtual world. The environments look like real worlds but all of them have elements from the actual game. For example, you'll see the Forerunner ruins that the Covenant attacked and the Covenant vehicles that were used to attack New Mombasa. The environment is designed to be fun and exciting, not frustrating.
The game takes place on several planets. You'll also come across some characters and places that are not featured in previous games. Some of these places include the Shield World and the Halo Ring. I'm not going to go into all of the locations because I don't want to spoil any surprises, but I will say that they are pretty awesome.
Halo Infinite will have plenty of action and excitement. The combat consists of gunfights, sniper tactics, explosive weapons, and many more things. You'll also find some interesting features such as vehicles and special moves and abilities as well. The game is not as complex as the last few games that I played so if you're a beginner I would recommend checking it out, especially if you're a fan of fighting games.
