2019 Lincoln MKC Four Cylinder Door Piece Floor Mats

Introduced in 2014, the MKC is Lincoln’s smallest crossover to date. Based on the Ford Global C platform, he is associated with Ford Escape and Kuga and aims to bring Lincoln into the growing SUV market. And with sales of more than 20,000 units per year since 2015, it is clear that the 2019 Lincoln MKC was a successful nameplate so far. Much more now because it has introduced more people into the brand, nearly half of 2019 Lincoln MKC customers from other car manufacturers. After three years on the market, the 2019 Lincoln MKC receives its mid-cycle renewal for the 2019 model year. Although far from being exhaustive, the update has introduced the small crossover of the company’s new grille. First seen in the Continental, then added to the huge Navigator, the new one piece grille gives the small SUV a more imposing appearance, and a more exclusive look thanks to its chrome. However, the changes are far from significant beyond this design element, since almost everything has been transferred, with the exception of the new interior lining of the Black Label versions and some additional driving aids.

Although facelift is rarely a major design problem, Lincoln has been striving to renew the 2019 Lincoln MKC. But only in front. While the front fascia has the same headlights and almost identical bumper design, the new grille almost completely changes the look of the passive filter. Like MKZ, Continental and Navigator, the 2019 Lincoln MKC left the grid in two pieces with horizontal slats for the room with a honeycomb pattern. The new grille is not as wide as the previous one, so it does not come into contact with the headlights and has a much larger amount of chromium. This gives the car a more dominant and superior appearance. Bumper changes are limited to reconfigured sockets, which have a different ribbon design, but this is not very noticeable unless it looks very close. The profile of the 2019 Lincoln MKC remained unchanged, as was the rear section, with the exception of the chrome edge covering the hole in the plate. It’s a little disappointing to get a thin piece of chrome unlike the big grille at the front, but that adds to the high end look. It’s also a nice touch when combined with darker exterior colors. As before, the LED lights on the lower front of the body and the rear lights are subtly illuminated to greet homeowners on approach, while a Lincoln welcome mat appears under both front doors.

The interior remains unchanged in terms of style and materials, but that’s not a problem, as the 2019 Lincoln MKC has a warm and comfortable cabin, filled with luxurious materials and soft to the touch. The know how is quite solid and, although the central stack is not the most attractive in this segment (and could use a larger screen), it is ergonomic and not too crowded. As usual, navigation and Wi-Fi and standard USB ports allow each passenger to follow his route and stay connected, while the SYNC 3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will entertain you during these long, boring trips. Heated and air conditioned seats remain optional for the entry level model, which is not bad considering the fact that most car manufacturers do the same, but that would have given 2019 Lincoln MKC an edge over its competitors. Unfortunately, Lincoln chose not to include additional standard features. Speaking of options, the available panoramic roof will flood the cabin with natural light during the day. Lincoln continues to offer the Black Label edge, which adds a bit of extra luxury to the interior of the cabin. Three themes are proposed, inspired by the arts, travel, good food and culture. The first is Modern Heritage, described as perfect for those who appreciate “clean and modern aesthetics”. This option is offered with Vianca white Venetian leather seats with the Lincoln Black Label star emblem and Argento wood accents. What follows is Indulgence, which combines Venetian leather and Alcantara in Truffle and Ganache styles, as well as a rich Ziricote wood. The latter is usually found on yachts or musical instruments. The third version of Black Label is called Center Stage and is inspired by “the fashion of the theater”, which translates “the emotion of a curtain skirting the main stage on the night of opening”. It also comes with leather and Alcantara, but it has a diamond L perforation and Foxfire Red thread stitching. There is also Venetian black leather with red stitching and exotic wood details on the dashboard and door panels. . In addition, Lincoln now offers rich Rialto Green black ash upholstery in the Reserve models. This new deep green is inspired by “vibrant tones emanating from the world of haute couture”. Lincoln’s luxurious enough has also added pre-collision assistance with pedestrian detection to the list of driver assistance technologies already available. Designed to reduce the severity of frontal collisions, this system uses radar sensors and advanced cameras to provide a collision warning to the driver. If the driver does not respond in time, the system can apply the brakes automatically and minimize or even avoid an accident. Other available features include Active Park Assist, Lane Keeping Alert and Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert.

In the engine service, this time, there will be no change. The 2019 Lincoln MKC will receive the same engines as the current model and there are two. The base is a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine capable of developing 245 horsepower and 275 pound torque. The second option is a turbocharged 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder engine. This unit will be able to develop 285 horses and 305 pound feet of torque. Both engines will be paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission. In addition, you will have the choice between front wheel drive and AWD configurations. Your towing capacity will be up to 3000 pounds.

The 2019 Lincoln MKC is expected to enter the showrooms in mid-2018. The price has not been announced yet.
