The 2017 Mazda CX-3 SUV crossover crossover has been updated for this model year. But the changes are as subtle as the “b” in “subtle”. This means that the 2019 Mazda CX-3 remains one of the most attractive options for its partners, thanks to exceptional sporty chassis quality and an exceptional class in the cab. Naturally, there are powerful competitors. The Honda HR-V, for example, offers more interior space and versatility when it comes to seating and loading. The Hyundai Kona has a new design and an attractive price/equipment proposition. And while the 2019 Mazda CX-3 offers all wheel drive (some rivals do not), the Subaru Crosstrek is standard. However, for the full set of style, dynamics, security, purchase price and resale values, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 is a strong case.
At first glance, it’s clear that Mazda has not changed from outside the 2019 Mazda CX-3. In fact, it was not even equipped with new front and rear fairings. However, he had new outdoor lights. For headlamps, the layout of the LEDs has been slightly modified and the units of the 2019 model have an eyelid appearance on the top. The taillights have been refined and now have a more circular appearance around the tail light section. The reversing lights are now smaller, leaving more red in the portion of the lens mounted on the hatch. Finally, a new pair of 18 inch wheels complete the exterior and gives the side profile a sportier appearance. This may not seem like much, and that’s usually why automakers are criticized for laziness, but the 2019 Mazda CX-3 was already very appealing. And, thanks to the finely placed body lines, a lot of black for contrast and this unique belt line, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 really did not need much more at first. In addition, there is more work done inside and under the metal, so do not write yet.
The interior 2019 Mazda CX-3 has been updated very well, but if you do not pay much attention to the model before 2019, you may not realize what has changed. In short, Mazda listened to consumer complaints and handled them as part of this update. One of the biggest complaints was the center console and the small size that was due, in part, to this physical parking brake. In fact, it was necessary to thin the center console by grouping the buttons and the cup compartment in a very small space. It was not ideal, to say the least. Then, this time, Mazda installed an electronic parking brake, which allowed for a wider center console. But that’s not all. Now that the console is wider, the button block that surrounds the rotary knob is no longer as complicated, and the cup holders are now centered and have a little more space. A new storage area at the front meets another concern. The seats have been slightly redesigned to provide better support with the new inner padding and the tube is glossy to help offset, as well as the new red accent found inside the vents. Mazda has decided that the vehicle’s base color should be gray with white or black leather on the seats to help offset a few more things. The highest trim levels will have leather seats (something completely new to the 2019 Mazda CX-3 and the center armrest in the front is now soft to the touch. Rear passengers now have cup holders in the center console. Essentially, Mazda took almost perfect packaging and improved it. At this point, Mazda should proceed with a serious but cautious overhaul to raise the level.
The power supply of the 2019 Mazda CX-3 is one of Mazda’s Skyactiv units, deploying rather complex engineering in pursuit of optimum fuel efficiency. This year, the power is increased from 146 to 148 horsepower, while the maximum torque is maintained at 146 lb-ft, all taken from a configuration of 4 cylinders and 2.0 liters. This is linked to a 6 speed automatic transmission that, in the standard configuration, sends the unit to the front wheels (FWD). All Wheel Drive (AWD) is optional. The shift levers of the GT version allow for greater driver participation, allowing manual shift control to get the most out of the engine. However, in normal use, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 is more focused on impressive fuel economy.
Mazda has not yet announced 2019 Mazda CX-3 prices, but it is unlikely that there will be price increases, if any. The 2018 model costs $ 20,110 in sport trim, $ 22,195 in Touring trim and $ 25,165 in Grand Touring trim. In any case, expect prices to increase no more than $ 300, bringing them to $ 20,410, $ 22,495 and $ 25,465, respectively.
