The Crosstrek is the unique take on Subaru in a crossover. The car has been around for quite some time and has been relatively successful so far. Not so long ago, they published a revised version that provides some improvements over its predecessor. Well, it seems they can still improve the design with the upcoming 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Most rumors seem to suggest that the car will refine the design of the current generation and make it a lot softer.
The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek will inherit the design of the current model, which now has a longer and wider body as it is supported by the new platform. A new grille and redesigned headlights were made. At the rear, the taillights are wider and the exhaust pipes are hidden.
The interior of the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek has two rows of seats and can accommodate up to five passengers. Given its size, it is spacious enough, even for the rear passengers. The seats are comfortable and can be folded flat. The card will have a 6.5 inch touchscreen with Subaru’s Starlink multimedia system. The connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will also be standard. Other standard features include USB, Bluetooth, audio system, backup camera, AM/FM stereo, and more. The Premium version will include heated seats and mirrors, soundproofed front windows and windshields, a sunroof, and more. In addition, the limited edition will include Harman Kardon Premium audio, larger 18 inch wheels, leather upholstery and an enhanced multi-function display.
The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek will be powered by the same engine as the current model. This is a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder direct injection engine. This unit has production of 152 horses and the pair of 145 pounds. Depending on the setting level, two transmissions will be available. The base and Premium versions will be paired with a 6 speed manual transmission, while the Limited version will only work with a continuously variable transmission. However, the base and Premium will also be offered with a CVT. The all wheel drive will be standard. Speaking of fuel economy, with a manual gearbox, you get 23/29 mpg. With a CVT, it has a power of 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
Starting at $ 22,500, the current model is not exactly the cheapest crossover of its kind. Despite this, it comes with more kit and certainly a better chassis than most other cars at this price. It seems that will not change much with the revision. The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek will probably be on the market by the end of 2018 or early 2019.
