After years of rumors and games waiting, the medium sized 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor finally returns to the United States. However, in the first year of the model, the Ranger will be offered in a limited number of configurations at least compared to other truck options in the country. The new Ranger debuts with the only turbo 4 engine and Ford also limits the number of settings to three. The XL, the XLT and the Lariat will be at the rendezvous, while we should expect more for the 2020 model year, including the new engine option, possibly diesel.
In terms of style, there will be no noticeable difference between the global version and the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor for the US market. The truck will arrive with the black grille, specific to 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor and with bumpers more muscular. Higher ground clearance and suspension travel will also provide a safe approach and exit angles on steep terrain and will also have a visual impact on the model. The widest and most protected wings, as well as the big off-road tires, will also give a more muscular appearance.
Inside the cabin, the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor will arrive with a unique trim and logos. The sport steering wheel with shift levers will also make a difference. Buyers will also get Ford performance seats. On a technical level, the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor will not miss modern equipment. The truck will be equipped with the new Sync 3 information and entertainment system, likely equipped with an 8 inch touch screen. There will also be navigation, powerful audio system, voice activation and more. Passenger safety will also be the focus of concern. The model will integrate systems such as descent control and hill start assistance, reversing camera, etc. There will also be advanced systems that include lane departure warning, overturning, etc.
2020 Ford Ranger Raptor models are high performance machines and, compared to conventional versions, these models offer improved performance and hardware. The global version uses a 2.0 liter twin turbo diesel engine. This oil mill provides 210 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Its high pressure and low pressure turbos use the high-tech Inconel alloy, which is also used in rocket engines, and can thus run at 240,000 rpm. However, the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor is not expected with the diesel engine in the United States. There are several possible candidates. Ford could use the 2.7 liter twin turbo V-6 petrol unit with a nominal output of about 325 hp. Another possibility is a 2.3 liter EcoBoost turbo 4 engine used in the Ford Mustang. With this engine under the hood, the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor could also have more than 300 hp. The transmission system would be a ten speed automatic tested as in the global version. This transmission is also part of the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor and the Mustang GT in full size. It uses a blend of aluminum alloy materials, high strength steel and compounds to optimize weight and durability.
Ford is probably waiting for the welcome reintroduction of the new Ranger on the US market and will then announce the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor version. The model is expected to be the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor in the second half of 2019. As for the price, the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor starts at $ 74,990 Australian dollars in this market. Converted to US $ 58,204, this is an extreme price considering 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor’s actual costs of US $ 50,115. However, as the full version is not available outside of the United States, it can be so expensive. But the model must cost less than the largest 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor and the price expected in the 1930s for US buyers. UU
