Nike releases new NBA jerseys for almost every NBA team. Nike has recently debuted its new uniform for the NBA's 31 teams. The new design is a radical overhaul for such a popular sport where significant innovations are few and far Between. The new Nike uniform for the 2021-2021 season is called the NBA jersey. It incorporates elements of performance, style, color and technology to create a new uniform for the league's top players. It was designed by the legendary Nike designer, Bill Blanc.
The new Nike jerseys are made of high quality materials. Unlike the older style jerseys, the new ones are manufactured in multiple pieces to ensure the highest possible quality. They are seam-sealed to provide optimal comfort and moisture management for players. The front panel of the new jersey has subtle embroidery detailing. A three quarter inch printed patch is located on the back of the jersey. Each jersey comes with a D-Locker, carrying strap and a NBA logo.
The new jerseys are also available in two distinct styles: the classic black and white version and the new Statement Edition uniforms. The new jerseys are built on the same professional fabric as the warm-up jacket, but have a much thinner and sleeker feel. The white and black versions feature a one-piece front with a mesh back panel and front zip pockets. Both are sold in a standard Nba jersey package along with a matching warm-up jacket, hooded towel clips. The Statement Edition uniforms come in two pieces and have a front panel that is double-itched for optimal comfort and a signature gum rubberized finish.
For this year's NBA Eastern Conference Preview, we're spotlighting some of the teams to watch for this postseason, and we've put out a few suggestions for each team. Cleveland Cavaliers: The Cavs will likely be the biggest threat to the Boston Celtics' NBA East title. Cleveland has depth both at the guard positions (Dell Curry, Tristan Thompson, LeBron James) and at the center position (Cleveland's prized free-agent acquisition, Channing Frye). The Cavs also have a number of nice players who can score, including Lebron James, who can burn you on the outside and at the rim, in addition to getting to the basket at will. Backup big man Kroyce Rice will most likely play the wing in this system and provide the interior presence that Cleveland needs.
Milwaukee Bucks: Milwaukee Bucks fans will likely fall in love with the crazy color scheme that Bucks head coach Scott Drew adopted this summer. The Bucks feature a checkered primary color scheme that includes blue, burgundy and chocolate. Top draft picks Delly and Thabo Sefolosha join an already impressive nucleus of young talent. However, the Bucks will need to have their stars perform at their peak during the regular season if they want to repeat as a postseason team. This is the year they might acquire one of the two first round picks from the Los Angeles Lakers or Utah Jazz in what could be a competitive situation.
Memphis Grizzlies: The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the league's worst teams over the past couple of years, so it is not surprising that they decided to take a step back and hire Scott Hall to try to improve. Scott Hall will be the general manager of the Memphis Grizzlies, so hopefully he can turn things around quickly. That is why the Grizzlies will wear blue-colored NBA jerseys during the season, even if they wear white-colored alternates. It may seem strange to pair a purple-colored hoops kit with purple-colored uniforms, but the two will make for an interesting contrast.
Minnesota Timberwolves: The Minnesota Timberwolves are still without a number one center and did not make any significant moves during the off season to address their most pressing needs. Their top priority will be to retain backup big man Rashard Lewis, but that does not leave a lot of money to spend on new jerseys. I would suggest the Mavs purchase a few new jerseys and sell them at a discount or trade them for players the team has traded or bought in the past. It will still make them look like they belong in the competition, even if they are actually out of it now.
Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe Bryant has left town, but that does not mean the Lakers have stopped competing. They still have one of the best scorers in the league in free throw percentage from the small forward position, as well as one of the best defenses in the NBA. The Lakers will wear a bright pink alternate uniform this year, but they will also likely sell out of those Dime Time uniforms before the season is completed. I would expect the Lakers to contend for the Western Conference title in a year or two. Until then, they will look good in their new rainbow-colored uniforms.
