We all get sad, we all feel sad. It is a part of life and we have to learn to deal with it. Sadness can turn into depression if you do not deal with it. So how do we make ourselves move from feeling sad to feeling happy? There are a few things you can do that will help you on your way to feeling better.
The first thing you should do is to take a minute to think about the person you are feeling bad about. Try to pinpoint why you are feeling that way. This will allow you to be more aware of what makes you sad and which things in life make you happy. When you are able to find what makes you happy, you will be able to pinpoint when you are feeling sad or depressed.
Another thing you should do is to spend some time doing something that makes you happy. Many people do this by going for a run or a bike ride. Others may enjoy a nice long walk. Either way you are making yourself take some time out and enjoy things that make you happy.
If you are still feeling sad then you should try doing some people watching. This can be done by sitting in front of your computer and watching people on the computer screen. You can either click a button or simply point the cursor on the screen. When you point the cursor you are moving the cursor over different people on the screen. You can click on someone and see their picture, you can even watch them make faces. It is a fun way to enjoy other people's company while being happy at the same time.
Another way to deal with the sadness that you feel is to read a book. This alone will usually take your mind off your current situation. You may even find it is a good idea to close your eyes and pretend you are reading a book. This may take some time to work, so you might want to just do this for a few minutes every day if you can.
No matter what you do you should know that there are options for dealing with a feeling sad. You don't have to live with it forever. If you feel like this is impacting your life too much then try to get past your wall and see how long you can go without seeing your sad wallpaper again. Find a new wallpaper or two or buy some more that you like. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you are not spending time feeling sad!
