Xmas backgrounds are one of those unique aspects of the holiday that every year people clamor to get a hold of. It's an almost legendary status on this day that people are talking about in hushed tones and drinking chaser glasses. It's no wonder, since it is such a beautiful background with a deep meaning. So, how do you get that Xmas background you have been dreaming about?
First, make sure you have a good Xmas photo album lying around your house. If not, go get one! Then, open up the album and take out all the pictures you want to use for your background. Make sure they are all current or at least recently taken. Now, get some cool colored balloons and hang them on the trees in your background (I like the ones with the little red eyes).
If you don't have any Xmas pictures around, then get some Christmas cards and maybe even scrapbooking paper to use as a background. Make sure the cards are not too old either. And if you don't have any of these things, there are still plenty of options. Just check around your house for items that can be used as backgrounds or even wrapped presents.
Once you have your basic Xmas picture background assembled, you can start thinking of other pictures that can be put into it. What better way to do that than by browsing your Christmas album! Have there been pictures of you and your loved ones in it year after year? I know mine were almost always taken during the Christmas season. That is how important having a holiday background is.
Then you need to think about pictures from the year before. What better way to get your background done then by looking back through the pictures that were taken during your childhood? Have there been some funny moments or maybe sad ones from your younger years too? I bet there have! It will give your finished background more meaning and a kinder feel than just a plain backdrop of your regular Christmas scenes.
The last thing you need to do is to think of photos of your family or of people you care about. Then take those pictures and have them put in a nice album with a nice cover that is reminiscent of Christmas. Then decorate the whole thing so it looks like Christmas! Some people like to use garlands, wreaths, tinsel and all kinds of other Christmas related decorations to make it look more festive. Just put on your favorite Xmas music and you will have a Christmas-themed background to use at the next Christmas party!
If you want to use a picture from the year before as a background for your Xmas pictures, that is OK too. All you have to do is edit the picture to remove the background. Then save that image as a JPEG file and open that up in your graphics program. You can use most graphic editing software packages to resize the image and make any changes you need to make the background look exactly how you want it to. When you are done, save the image and use it as a background again this year.
You can use any kind of image that you want as your background for your Christmas pictures. You can use Christmas cards that you receive, photographs of your children or pets, or anything else that brings a smile to your face. You will be amazed at how much difference a simple background image can make in your pictures of the holiday season. Just remember to keep in mind what kind of image you use, and how you want to use it to enhance the Christmas experience for your family and friends.
