It's that time of the year again, time to go to the stores and pick up some new Galaxy Desktop Wallpaper. The newpapers come out in time for the holidays, which is always a nice treat, and they come with a theme that will go along with any mood you want to have. Most people are familiar with the popular “Christmas” themes, so picking a wallpaper that goes along with this theme should be fairly easy. Most stores have new papers available for free on their websites, so all you need to do is search for them online, and the search is usually quick and simple.
When downloading as desktop wallpaper for your phone, however, be sure to choose the right picture for it. Usually, if you're choosing a wallpaper for a new phone, you have two choices – jpeg or wallpaper. Jpeg pictures (which are like mp3 files) can be downloaded relatively quickly, but there is usually a download fee to go with them. Wallpaper, on the other hand, can't be downloaded as quickly but has a tendency to be much better quality.
Jpeg pictures, however, aren't available on every phone, so your search may be a bit wider than usual. If you have a Windows Phone, however, you shouldn't run into any problems when trying to download wallpapers. Almost all Windows Phones supports html5, which allows you to view pictures on your phone using a web browser. It's not the greatest picture quality, but it does the job, and at least you'll have a wallpaper to look to your friends!
If you don't care about the quality, you might consider getting a wallpaper that has already been downloaded. There are websites where you can download a wallpaper for any screen size or resolution. The biggest drawback is that these wallpapers can be slow to load on your phone. Still, it's worth a try, right? You can usually use your default settings for the phone to access the web interface, and there are some sites that allow you to download images directly to your phone's desktop.
For high-quality images, download sites that offer their images as wallpapers for a fee. These sites usually have large databases of wallpapers, and many of them are stock images that you can use on any computer. You also won't have to worry about downloading all the different wallpaper formats for your phone. Just one download will give you access to an unlimited number of stock images, as well as a desktop background for your phone.
If you're into wallpaper but don't want to change the look of your phone, you should know that Samsung provides its own wallpaper gallery for its users. This gallery comes pre-installed on all Galaxy phones, and it offers a nice assortment of wallpapers in both JPEG and GIF formats. You can browse through the images to find one you like, and download it to your phone. The only problem with this option is that you'll only be able to use the JPEG images if you're using a reputable online download site.
