The Real Reason Behind Brick Painted Houses | Brick Painted Houses

Brick Painted Houses, what a concept! I can't say I've seen this concept used that often but when I have it's amazing how much difference it can make to a house. I guess by definition there can only be one type of paint but brick and mortar houses are so unique and have so many options, it seems like there can only be one. It's amazing how different brick makes a house look. I'd like to take a minute to talk about the options you have and the types of paint you can use on these homes.

There are a couple of options you have with a paint job on a house. The first is to do a traditional paint job, which gives your house a clean and professional look. The downside is you may have a lot of maintenance and if you decide to move out in a few years you're not going to have that brick finish. If that's all you want, and you can afford it, go for it but don't expect to have the same life span as a house with a paint job done professionally.

A second option is to do an exterior paint job on the outside of your home. This gives your house a look that is similar to brick but gives your home a more modern, clean look. You still get that clean look but it comes with a lighter paint color. This may be a good idea if your house needs a quick paint job or if you just love the look of brick but want something a little different. The downside is again maintenance is a must and if you choose to move after a year you're going to need to replace the exterior paint.

Exterior paint jobs are usually done by a professional painter or a company that specializes in this type of work. They will come out to your house, do the work needed to get the color you want, and then bring it back to you. You can pick out the colors you want and have the house painted professionally in less than a day. The paint job doesn't have to be perfect. It's important that it is close to being perfect and the paint will last a long time if it has proper care.

The main thing to remember when having a house painted is that it will probably take two days or so to dry. This is because the brick has to really soak in the paint before it can properly dry. Houses that are professionally colored can be dried faster but if you have a paint job that was done by a pro and it wasn't dryed correctly, you will probably have to wait a few days for the house to be completely dry.

Once you have your house painted, you should take special note of any peeling paint. Pecans are the worst culprits of this type of damage. If at all possible you should try and remove the peeling paint before the house is actually painted. If you have to, use a high pressure washer to remove the peeling paint as quickly as possible. This will make your house look like new even though it has just been painted.

To further protect your brick painted house from damage, you should make sure to have regular maintenance done to the house. Brush your house with a roller brush about once a year to remove any dirt and dust that may have built up during the years. Vacuum your house at least once a month to remove any dirt and dust particles. Make sure to check on the condition of the siding to see if it needs to be replaced. You can save a lot of money if your siding is still in good shape.

A house painted with brick has many benefits. If you decide to repaint your house, consider hiring a professional to do the job. They will have the experience needed to make your house look good. If you are artistic, you may want to paint the house yourself. Either way, keep in mind how important proper paint care is.
