Why You Should Not Go To Amex Black | Amex Black

The American Express Centurion card, also called the Amex Black Card, is a limited invitation-only credit card issued by American Express after holders meet certain eligibility requirements. The Centurion card comes in business, personal, and corporate versions. Unlike some of their competing brand cards from other issuers, the Centurion card does not come with an annual fee. All additional fees are incurred when the card is used.

Like most other credit cards, the Centurion card features the standard features. It includes a small photo frame feature, free calling minutes, unlimited messaging, a secured account, and online access to the member's benefits. Along with these features, the amex black card offers the same rewards programs seen on its counterparts. Here are some things to expect from this line of credit cards.

As is the case with most other corporate cards, the same black has a standard limit of one card per family and/or household. This limit may change, though, with the availability of multiple Lounges. There are several different Lounges that may be chosen. Each individual member of the family or household must have their own Lounging. In some instances, family members may choose separate Lounges from the main body of the cardholder. Family members have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of being an elite status holder, while also benefiting from the increased spending power afforded to them through their membership in the Club.

The elite status that is granted to those who hold the Centurion card is determined by their financial spending patterns over the years. It all started with the Platinum Card, an offer that provides significant rewards for all members of the families mentioned above. This allows the cardholders to purchase the Luxury Cards at a reduced rate if they are able to spend more on their purchases than what they are currently paying on their primary card. The second lowest rate is offered in the Lounges. All of these cards can be found online in the respective cardholder's websites.

There are a few differences between the Centurion card and the same black Luxury Cards. For example, there is less spending power with the former. That being said, it still offers all of the same benefits and rewards. The reward structure is basically the same, however. With the former, one needs to spend a certain amount of money every month (as per the guidelines set forth by the issuer) in order to benefit from the rewards, while with the latter, one need only to spend a specified amount of money every month.

A few perks that are only available with the Centurion card include: lifetime membership at the elite level, five hundred percent match on any cash advance, priority seating at lounges, exclusive access to travel concierge services, dining plans with a mix of free and paid options, as well as customer assistance at any time. The annual fees that are required in order to get these perks are as follows: the platinum annual fee, the gold annual fee, the silver annual fee, the premier annual fee, the platinum plus card . . . . . . access, the gold plus card access, the platinum premier card access, the business premium annual fee, the business premium annual rate, the multi-purpose card annual fee, and the senior card annual fee. As you can see, it is not exactly a bargain because one would need to pay an additional annual fee just to enjoy the privileges mentioned above. The same applies for the other luxury cards mentioned above.

In terms of the rewards offered with the luxury cards, the perks are not really that big. The centurion cardholders have access to the same privileges that the other card members have. They do not, however, receive any special gift with their cards, which means that there is no tangible benefit that is gained by having this card. This is really disappointing to many amex cardholders who would like to be able to receive something for free with their card. Luckily, amex has come up with an interesting concept called the Amex Centurion Lounge Membership which gives cardholders the privilege to enjoy lounge access at any time for an annual fee that is less than twenty dollars.

The lounge membership is not free because the twenty dollars is deducted from your current balance every month. This means that it will take you almost four years (four full years of membership) for you to be able to use the lounge and to accumulate enough points to get a free evening in a fancy hotel. However, even though this scheme has been made available only to the centurion cardholders of amex, it is still worth checking out if you are thinking about getting a credit card. After all, having a black card does not mean you have to be poor!
