The Nike Mercurial Vapor IV is one of the latest football boots to be released by the brand. It has seen widespread critical acclaim from footballing professionals and enthusiasts all around the world. One thing that the vast majority of people seem to like about the Mercurial Vapor IV is its sheer longevity. The Vapor IV football boots have a standard of excellence when it comes to longevity and durability, something that the older models did not possess. With the latest materials and technology introduced into modern football boots, the Vapor series has certainly been given a big boost.
The latest in vapor shoes is the Nike Mercurial Vapor III. The III series was introduced as a replacement to the older Mercurial Vapor V and VIII boots. Both these boots were introduced with the sole plate having a central rubber outer sole and the innermost layer of the rubber being made of nylon. With the introduction of the III series, Nike has now introduced two more series – the Vapor III Supra and Vapor III Ballerina. The Vapor III Supra is aimed at younger kids while the Vapor III Ballerina is aimed at older kids and adults.
As before, the main features of the vapor III are the high quality uppers and rubber outsoles. The main change however has been the addition of a new Nike Mercurial Vapor rubbersport that is a high-performance version of the classic Mercurial sole and also the first step in Nike's new three-striped series that will include the toe boxes as well as the insole. The newest release of the Vapor III also sees improvements on the Nike Mercurial Vapor IV midsole. The Mercurial Vapor III midsole incorporates the same three-strips design seen on the Vapor IV but has been crafted to be much more flexible, which allows for a firmer and more stable feel when running and jumping.
All the colorways of the Mercurial boot are made from the highest grade leather available and are built upon the original inspiration for the original Mercurial shoes. The Nike Mercurial boots are all one piece, built upon a Uppers that has the same high quality construction as the inner sole but is covered in high-density Nylon to make it extremely durable and long lasting. The uppers are then finished with rubber to protect the tendons from the wear and tear of repeated use.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor III boots come in three different main colorways, which are Blue / Light Ice, Black / Grey and Green / Silver. Each comes in a sole plate of either Vibram or Converse High Top as well as a pair of studs. The studs used are the same as those used on the popular Air Jordan 11s, which are very comfy and have superb traction. The all-American design of the basketball shoe is seen through the clean lines and simplicity of the Vibram as well as the Converse. The Vibram uppers are lightweight but firm, while the black and white soles add a little class to the shoe.
The Black / Grey Colorway of the Nike Mercurial Vapor III draws inspiration from the nautical charts that chart the ocean's world long history and colors. The nautical charts give a depiction of what soccer players should be like and the sneaker is made to fit this description perfectly. Each colorway represents a specific ocean and the boot are making to help its users move underwater. It is light weight so as to be able to move underwater but provides excellent support when moving inland. The sole plate is made from the same material as the back of the Mercurial Vapor III which ensures strength and durability.
The Nike Superfly II is an updated take on the classic Nike Mercurial Vapor III, featuring a mix of colorways for a contemporary feel to the sneaker. The main emphasis on the Superfly II is on lightweight football boots with Hyperloft technology which has been improved upon. Hyperloft allows Nike to provide tighter grip on the surface of the ground which translates to more power when executing quick attacks and dribbles. Nike has also improved the heat conduction in the Superfly II by utilizing a thermoplastic rubber liner around the outside of the studs to help disperse the sweat and heat generated during high impact exercises.
As mentioned above, the Nike Mercurial Vapor IV is the newest release in the Nike Mercurial line of football boots. The biggest change however is its colour scheme, which has been completely redone. Unlike the previous three versions, this version features a lighter blue sole and darker green upper for a modern look. A smoother rubber bottom is accompanied by new studs on the inner heel and toe for a better grip and stability when playing. Its best selling colour scheme though is the striking red sole. The look of the Vapor IV completes a contemporary look that complements any look – from the flashy and sporty to the laid-back and casual.
